Study Tour to Hyderbad: a mixed experience

I just reached back home after 6 day tour to hyderbad with our final B.com students. The trip in general was good. We have visited all the sites as planned except Salar Jung Museum due to time constraints. As a staff co-ordinator i found no difficulty in guiding my team leaving the burdern to adhere punctuality. The food provided to us was really delicious and rich. The accomodation too was not bad in Sri Durga Hotel. All of us enjoyed the train journey by different group games and songs. According to the majority, Laser Show, Golconda Fort, Snow World and  Film City were really wondeful and beyond their expectations. NTR Garden, Lumbini Park, Birla Mandir and Charminar  were more or less an average site. Our Tour operator Mega's Holidays Calicut seem to be inexperienced in the field. Still we remember their sincere effort to make us happy every time. Abbas vattoli Assistant Professor in Commerece AMAL College Nilambur

The psychological appraoch to stock market

Stock market though best described as a scientific method for price discovery, it not truely scientific. The movement in stock prices is more or less driven by speculation or mass psychology of the world.          Somebody have defined stock market as the reflection of mass pshycology of the world, their hopes, fears, etc. To have more clarity we need to seggragate psychology in to rational psychology and emotional psychology. Rational psychology indicate the general perception of the mass. It is formed based on the direct and immediate analysis of the available news flows. But it is seen that this common man's belief comes true very raely. we may say rational psychology affect only 10% in market movement         The rest 90% is influence by emotional psychology. Emotional psychology indicate the greedy and fearful reaction of the mass.T...

The new College: A sense of security and surveillance

As a reward to my restless efforts towards a quality mission, I got permenant appointment in AMAL College Of Advanced Studies, Nilambur as Assistant Profesor in Commerce with effect from 6th October 2010 FN. It was a surprise for me among others to get selecion in an Aided College with out capitation fee and recommendations. The job security of new appointment gives me pleasure and happiness. The new college impressed me most in terms of its vision and values. I see our College have good potential to excel in the days to come. As i am shifted from a liberal government college environment, i am feeling a sense of inflexibility in this early days. I understand my inevitable role in the upliftment of the campus especially during this initial years of establishment.

A dazzling surge in career after winning NET

My way to a college lecture was of course totally unexpected. I hadn’t even imagined about a teaching career until my last semester in M.com. But after I qualified UGC NET exam, the door of fortune opened up for me in the form of college lecturer. Now having completed a victorious year of teaching, I feel enthusiastic to bet on lecturing career.         I got plenty of opportunities during my maiden year to fly high in my career and I believe I have fully capitalized these moments. To a great extent I was able to stand out as a resourceful lecture before my audience. Still a lot of improvement in the method of teaching need to be incorporated for ensuring a win win situation.         My great learning recently was the realization of the importance of teaching and the sacred role of a lecturer. I am sure students are expecting much higher form their teachers. And a teacher of course sh...

Colleges lack Serious learners

Today in our colleges it may be difficult to find students who are serious in their study. Most of them are in search of short cuts to pass the exam. The real spirit for knowledge hunt is lacking in many campuses. The restructured carriculam also fuled this trend as it deos not require indepth study for a pass. The students of the present generation are not much concerned about the opportunities before them. actually they have ample opportunites before them but a planned appraoch is needed to grab such opportunities. More emphesis is needed from the part of Univesity, teachers and students for inclucating value to our contemporary education. I keep on advising my students that please do not think about marks rather learn for the sake knowledge. becuase knowledge is power, you will get rewarded for all your learning efforts in the coming days.
