The University Grants Commission offers two years deputation with salary and increments to the teachers of colleges and universities under its Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for doing full time PhD/Mphil. Generally this fellowship is awarded to every teacher who applies for the same in the proper format. So it’s all about formalities rather than merit. Here I am explaining the complete process of availing FDP Scheme of UGC. Step 1: Principal should circulate a notice among teaching staff to apply for FDP scheme UGC – Get signature of all faculty members on this notice. I did my orientation in Feb-Mar 2013 at Himachal Predesh University, Shimla. My OP friends wanted me to do refresher in either in NEHU, Shillong or University of Kashmir, or Kumaun University, Nainital. I used to search Nehu website frequently for commerce refresher updates but i could'nt found such an announcements from them. So I started following Kashmir university. I had applied there for a refresher in commerce in Jan 2015 but they used to postpone the programme every time for two years. So i moved to my third choice ie. Nanital. I applied for commerce refresher in early 2016 but they too postponed it and finally cancelled. later I tried to attend their Inter Desciplinary course in environment studies in Nov 2016 but i was not included in the selection list. On April 19, 2013 at 11.34 AM. me and my wife Najeeda.P were blessed with a baby girl at CWC Malappuram. It was the end of 9 months anxiety and the beginning of life long happiness. We named her Swahba Mumtaz meaning 'the company of excellent' on her 21st day of life. She was actually lucky to take birth in April as it was a summer vacation time, it was after her mother's final year degree examination and of course the cool monsoon followed it. Even though Me and Shanavas sir had applied six months in advance for our Orientation Programme in 2013 Feb 25 th to March 23rd at Himachal Pradesh University Shimla,   our selection was not confirmed till 20 th Feb 2013. Actually on 20 th February we were in sports meet of our college at PeeVees Ground. Immediately after getting confirmation of our selection over phone we have cleared all formalities from college office on same day.   We started journey at 2.00 am from Calicut on 22 nd feb in Rajadhani express. We reached Delhi around 5 pm on 23 rd and that day we stayed with our old students in their room near Noida. The next day we visited Lotus temple, India gate, Mughal garden and by night we started to Shimla in bus. On 25 th very morning at 5 am we reached at shimla bus stand and in a taxi car we went to our hotel City Inn. We were allotted room no 14. Amal College was a surprise gift to my life. I joined here on 6th October 2010 and I enjoy here with the most energetic and enthusiastic fellow staffs.

I got married to Najeeda Paramban on 8th Janurary 2012. We are happy here in all aspects of married life.

More Photos Yes, Obeviously it was a marvelous trip. Our destinations Munnar, Thekkady and Wagamon everything looked pretty and captivating. As we were travelling in our own car, the trip was so flexible and cost effective. We started our journey on the forenoon of 7th May 2011. On the way to Munnar we had visited Guruvayur Elephant Training Centre, Athirapally water fall, Thattekkad Bird sanctury and Boothathan dam. On the second day, in munnar we covered pothamedu view point, Elephant ride, Echo point, Kundala dam and Top station at mattupetti. On Monday morning after passing through Rajamala, we went for Thekkady through Devikulam. on the way we had seen devikulam hill views, anayirangal dam and Ramakkalmedu view point. The next day very morning at 7.30 we had 2 hour boating in Thekkady Tiger reserve. then on the way back to home through wagamon we had spent few time at paruntum pa...

It was my long held dream to fly high in the sky. It come true on 21st Apr 2011 when the AIR India Flight IX 474 with us took off from calicut to kochi at 9.25 am. In a staff tour from our college, we 22 had a fly for the first time. It was just half an hour journey to kochi but enough to experience the sweet and sour of an air journey . After visiting Hill Palace at Thrippunithara we had spent few hours at marine drive for site seeing and shopping. By 5.30 we get in to Sagara rani for a two hour boating to Arabian sea. The ship journey was a altogether a celebration once every one joined the dance team. After shopping at Obron Mall, we returned by 10'o clock. The trip as a whole was truely thrilling...

The whole SPSS was covered in 14 sessions spread over One and half years. The course was organized by the Department of Commerce of KG College Pampadi under the supervision of Dr Harikumar sir. It was our privilage to learn it from such well renouned statistician like Dr. K.Kalyanaraman sir. To be frank this rare gathering of research scholar from across kerala under guidance of eminent personalities from the field of research and analysis have really opened up a new horizon of knowlege sharing and set a model for others. During this Kerala Legislative Assebly Election 2011, I have been appointed as Presiding Officer in the Annara polling station of Tirur assembly constituency. It was my first eletion duty after entering to the service. Though threre were some apprehension at the time appointment as presiding officer, when the real work started i truely enjoyed the role. At my polling station every thing was smooth through out the polling. I appreaciate my smart team members with out whom i cannot do it as perfect as this. In the House games conducted for our college staffs, Team Tom mercilessly defeated the Jerry team. Tom bagged Gold in Five out of six events held. Our Team Captain Mr Anujith was strategic enough to lead us from the front. All of our team members played well and contributed to this historic victory. .

I just reached back home after 6 day tour to hyderbad with our final B.com students. The trip in general was good. We have visited all the sites as planned except Salar Jung Museum due to time constraints. As a staff co-ordinator i found no difficulty in guiding my team leaving the burdern to adhere punctuality. The food provided to us was really delicious and rich. The accomodation too was not bad in Sri Durga Hotel. All of us enjoyed the train journey by different group games and songs. According to the majority, Laser Show, Golconda Fort, Snow World and  Film City were really wondeful and beyond their expectations. NTR Garden, Lumbini Park, Birla Mandir and Charminar  were more or less an average site. Our Tour operator Mega's Holidays Calicut seem to be inexperienced in the field. The movement in stock prices is more or less driven by speculation or mass psychology of the world.          Somebody have defined stock market as the reflection of mass pshycology of the world, their hopes, fears, etc. To have more clarity we need to seggragate psychology in to rational psychology and emotional psychology. Rational psychology indicate the general perception of the mass. It is formed based on the direct and immediate analysis of the available news flows. But it is seen that this common man's belief comes true very raely. we may say rational psychology affect only 10% in market movement         The rest 90% is influence by emotional psychology. As a reward to my restless efforts towards a quality mission, I got permenant appointment in AMAL College Of Advanced Studies, Nilambur as Assistant Profesor in Commerce with effect from 6th October 2010 FN. It was a surprise for me among others to get selecion in an Aided College with out capitation fee and recommendations. The job security of new appointment gives me pleasure and happiness. The new college impressed me most in terms of its vision and values. I see our College have good potential to excel in the days to come. As i am shifted from a liberal government college environment, i am feeling a sense of inflexibility in this early days. I understand my inevitable role in the upliftment of the campus especially during this initial years of establishment.
